Day 1 - Welcome to Chiang Rai, Thailand
Upon arrival at the airport, you’ll be warmly greeted and chauffeured to your choice of deluxe or luxury hotel. With delightful settings and their unique ambiance, our hotels and resorts have been carefully selected – and there’s one to fit your personal style.
Day 2 - Hill Tribes of Northern Thailand
Leaving the town of Chiang Rai behind, your personal car and driver will take you north into the verdant and rolling landscapes Mae Chan, a pastoral district in the Golden Triangle. With our engaging guide at your side to offer insights and translation, you’ll spend time with two different hill tribes, engaging with villagers for an authentic experience of their daily life. The Akha trace their origins and some of their enduring traditions to ancestors who originated in Tibet. In contrast, at a nearby Yao village, you’ll learn about their differing traditions – influenced by the Chinese customs of their forebears. Back in Chiang Rai, the rest of this day is yours to enjoy as you wish. Meals B
