Day 1: Venice
Upon arrival in Venice, you will travel by private water taxi across the lagoon, enjoying some wonderful views of this magical city as you head to Giudecca Island where the beautiful Cipriani Hotel is located. After you've had a chance to freshen up from your long journey, you will be able to enjoy a breathtaking private panoramic boat tour around the city. This is a great way to learn a bit about the history of Venice and how the city has thrived over the centuries.
Day 2: Venice
This morning you will take the Cipriani shuttle to St Mark's Square to meet your private guide and embark on a walking tour of the square and Doge's Palace. This extended tour will take you to a number of secret rooms within the palace not normally open to the public. In the afternoon you will have some free time to explore more of the city and may wish to visit sites such as the Peggy Guggenheim Collection or the Accademia Gallery.
Day 3: Venice
Today you will have a private boat tour of the islands of Murano and Burano. On Murano you will see a glass blowing demonstration at a local glass factory. The next island, Burano, is famous for its brightly painted houses and traditional lace making. At the end of the tour your private boat will drop you back at your hotel.
Day 4: Florence
This morning you will be transferred by private water taxi to Santa Lucia Station for your premium class train journey to Florence. The journey will take just over two hours. On arrival you will be met and transferred to your luxurious hotel in the heart of the city. You will then have the rest of the day at leisure to begin exploring. A particular highlight is the Piazza del Duomo where you can climb the spectacular dome for some breathtaking views of the city.
Day 5: Florence
Today you will visit the Uffizi Gallery with a private guide. Once home to offices of the Medici family, this iconic building houses one of the best collections of Renaissance art anywhere in the world. In the afternoon, you will enjoy a private cooking class with a local professional chef. During the class you will cook a traditional Tuscan meal, including pasta made from scratch, which you'll then be able to enjoy for your evening meal accompanied by local Tuscan wine.
Day 6: Florence
Today you will head outside of Florence and spend the day exploring some of the most beautiful medieval towns in Tuscany: Siena and San Gimignano. You will spend the morning exploring the charming streets of Siena with a private guide before heading to a traditional Tuscan farmhouse for a wine tasting lunch. Finally, you will continue on to the stunning hilltop town of San Gimignano with its iconic medieval towers and commanding views of the surrounding landscape.
Day 7: Rome
This morning a driver will take you to the station for your premium class train journey to Rome, which will take around two hours. Upon arrival in Rome, a private driver will transfer you to your hotel in the heart of the city. After settling in, you will have the opportunity get your bearings in Rome with a privately guided tour of the city. This walking and driving tour will include key sites such as the Piazza del Popolo, Piazza Navona and the Trevi Fountain.
Day 8: Rome
Your private guide will meet you this morning for a half day tour of the Colosseum and the Forum. These iconic sites are not to be missed. Your guide will help bring these sites to life and enable you to skip the ticket line.
Day 9: The Vatican Museums, the Sistine Chapel and St. Peter's Basilica
Enjoy some of Rome's most incredible experiences. Today a private guide and driver will pick you up at the hotel and take you on this extraordinary excursion. You will start with the Vatican Museums and your guide will help you skip the lines to get in as early as possible. From there you will experience the beautiful frescoes of the Sistine Chapel and the impressive Baroque interior of St Peter's Basilica.
Day 10: Positano
Today you will be transferring down to the Amalfi Coast. Your private driver will meet you at the hotel in time for your train to Naples. This premium class train journey will take a little over an hour. Once you have arrived in Naples, a car and private driver will meet you at the station to take you the rest of the way to your hotel in Positano where you will be able to relax and enjoy the beautiful views.
Day 11: Positano
Spend today exploring the island of Capri in style with a private boat and guide. You'll be met at your hotel this morning and walked to the jetty where you'll board your private boat for Capri. After the spectacular one hour ride to Capri, you'll enjoy a private tour with your guide and some time at leisure on the island. This evening your boat will transport you back to Positano where your guide will walk you back to your hotel.
Day 12: Positano
Today is your last day to relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery of the Amalfi Coast. You may want to explore more of Positano today or simply relax by the hotel pool.
Day 13: Return Home
You'll be picked up from your hotel today by a private driver in good time to make the one and a half hour drive to Naples airport for your flight home.
